If you are a professional musician or studying to become one, SmartScore X2 Pro will meet all your demands. It can process anything, from instrumental or solo parts to entire conductor's scores.

The program is available for Windows and Mac OS X. You can try a fully functional demo, without encountering any restricted functions. The Windows setup file is roughly 29 MB and it should not take more than a minute to install the software's components.

SmartScore X2 Pro places several possibilities at your disposal when you launch it. You may create a new score, from the ground up or import SmartScore files, images, NIFF, music XML or MIDI files. Additionally, you can scan a hard copy of a musical score. The software is capable of recognizing scanned scores, just like an OCR application, with or without lyrics, chord symbols or other notations. Besides recognizing musical characters, the software will turn them into playable MIDI sounds.

You can insert new symbols or modify existing ones. Changing a note's duration, increasing or decreasing its velocity, adding dots and extending durations are just a few examples. Besides playing your sounds, while working in the score view mode, you can also use a MIDI player and change the velocity, tempo and other settings, for individual notes. Additionally, the program allows you to switch to karaoke mode, unify the score or change its structure and much more.
